This sleigh kit was so much fun to put together! I cut this kit with my laser machine using 1/4″ Baltic birch wood.
Items included in this kit:
Wood cutouts for sleigh
Pre-cut scrapbook paper
Paint
Mod Podge
Foam paint brushes
Assembly instructions
Greenery is NOT included.
I glued the “rails” of the sleigh together. There are 4 total that come in the kit. Glue 2 together, this will make a sturdy base for the rest of the wood pieces.
Once I glued the rails together, I added everything else to get a visual of how I wanted to apply the rest of the wood cut outs.
After I laid out the pieces to get an idea how everything would be laid out, I painted the rails, support pieces and the words. I choose black paint for the sleigh and a burgundy color for the flourish on top of the sleigh that matches the scrapbook paper I used.
As I let the pieces I painted dry, I started on the rest of the sleigh. I cut scrapbook paper with my laser to insure a perfect fit on the slats of the sleigh. I applied the scrapbook paper to the slats using Mod Podge.
Once the paint was dry and the Mod Podge was dry, I glued everything together with my glue gun.
I just love how this turned out!! After I had everything glued together, I decided it still needed “something” . I wanted to add a bow but, I did not have any ribbon to match the scrapbook paper I used. So, I choose to add some greenery I had in my stash. The greenery is exactly what it needed to finish it!
I absolutely love how this turned out! It can be displayed on a shelf as a shelf sitter or can be used as a door hanger with a piece of twine or ribbon added to the flourish. This kit can be purchased here. Limited quantities available.
Thank you for stopping by!
Have a blessed day!
