Target Dollar Spot Boot Makeover

Lets give this boot from Target a makeover!!

My daughter brought me a few of these plastic boots from Target for me to craft with. I knew as soon as I saw them exactly what I wanted to do with one of them! This craft was so easy and quick to do, I wish I had more of these boots to makeover for other seasons and Holidays. I did makeover one of these boots for summer. You can see the summer boot here.

Lets get started with the boot transformation.

The first thing I did was grab a can of spray paint and paint it black. It did take a couple of coats of paint to cover the lime green.

Now, It is time to transform this boot! I used a stencil from Chalk Couture to add an image on the boot. This stencil is not available but, there are many other cute ones to choose from here.

I used the white and red chalk paste to color the design.

Once I finished chalking the design onto the boot it was time for the fun part! I found a roll of “fur” and thought it would be perfect for the fur on the top of the boot.

Fur for Boot

I used my Ryobi Glue Gun to adhere the fur onto the top of the boot. After, I finished gluing the fur around the top of the boot I added some greenery to the inside of the boot. I think this $5.00 Target Dollar Spot Boot turned out adorable!!
