How To Make A Flower With Bottle Caps

This is one of my favorite crafts I have made! I have never created anything using bottle caps but, I will be making more! This flower was so much fun to make!

Supplies used:

Bottle Caps

1 piece of scrap wood,

Sticks from my yard

Wood flower pot that I cut myself

Glue Gun can be purchased here

Paint color of your choice for the flower pot

Artificial moss from the dollar tree

Pliers

The first thing I did was paint the flower pot with acrylic paint. I chose a color that I think looks the the color of a clay pot.

Once the flower pot was dry, I glue it together using hot glue onto my piece of scrap wood. As you can see from the below picture, there is a gap in the middle of the flower pot. I will explain next why I have the gap.

I picked up several different size twigs from my backyard for this craft. There is so much you can use twigs from the trees in your yard! I will show more crafts using twigs later so, keep following along.

I chose which sticks I wanted to use for this craft, I slid them into the gap of the flower pot and glued them down when I decided exactly where I wanted the, for the flowers I am making.

After I have placed the flower pot and swigs (sticks) where I want them, the fun begins!

I used the needle nose pliers to bend the bottle caps in half. This is a bit time consuming but, so worth it for the end result!

Once I bent all of the bottle caps I needed for the flowers, I started gluing them in place.

After I glued all of the bottle caps into place I added some artificial moss to the top of the flower pot. I think the moss finished this [project off!!

Once I had everything completed, I decided to distress the flower pot with Waverly wax. I do love the distress look!

I am so happy with how this turned out! This is my first time using bottle caps for a craft! This would make a wonderful Mother’s Day gift!
